December is here - The Sky is Falling!

"Mommy, come and look:  the Sky is falling!  We've never seen anything like this before."
- Purrkins and Petey, age 6 months.

The winter birds have come back to the feeders:  red house finches, tufted titmouse, wren, chickadees, cardinals.

Last week, I was at the beach and returned home to this. In a day and a half, the temperature went from 62 to 32 degrees, and winter has arrived. Ugh!

  1. Purrkins has her tail to keep her warm - in fact, she could keep Petey warm too!

Aren't they lucky to be all cozy inside while watching the first snow.

  4. Oh, I love that fluffy tail! I'm a bird-watcher, too. Found your blog from your reply on the Strathmore Art Journal Workshop. I like it here. :o)
