The December prompt in the "Creative Dreamer" blog Creativity Challenge was "Home".
I started an abstract in acrylics and began to see a map of my hometown, with its rivers and bridges, in the lines that had appeared. I added a few more lines to make a house and a capitol dome, and it was done. I added a mat that I had textured with modeling paste and stamped designs.

We should all have such wonderful pictures of home in our heads. Thanks for sharing your version. Happy New Year! xox Corrine

ReplyDeleteI love it, Joyce. What a whimsical view of home. It makes me smile to think of traveling those roads and rivers to your house. Great color scheme.
ReplyDeleteHI Joyce! I like the textures and colors on this one! I was reading about Purrkins - glad he was OK. You have a lovely blog full of great places to visit - as well as your own. Thanks for visiting mine!
