Let Them In

As I was working on this painting, POTUS was attempting to force limits on immigration of fugitives from war in the Middle East.  Like many others, whose citizenship in this country is a result of ancestors fleeing from forced partipation in killing other human beings, I felt that it was important to add my voice and presence to a demonstration at our Capitol.  My intuitive painting process resulted in some human-like figures emerging through the arches that I had created, and the title of the painting announced itself to me.  "Let Them In!"
