Hidden Glories

Currently on exhibit in the gallery at Tamarack is one of my paintings in which I experimented with several acrylic texture mediums on a 30x10 inch piece of art board. As the painting developed, I began to see the geological strata that might be exposed by a huge cut through a West Virginia mountain.  I added some pieces of mica that I had found to add some shine and some collage to represent trees on the mountaintop.

"Hidden Glories" will be available for sale at Gallery Eleven in Charleston after November 1.
