Flocks of Goldfinches have been coming to my thistle feeder this summer, and now they have descended upon the Coreopsis that has taken over my perennial bed. They are a beautiful sight. I should remove the brown seedheads - my garden would look a lot better -- but I couldn't do that to the birds!! This watercolor page in my journal will always remind me of the golden days of summer..Tuesday, July 20, 2010

What a delightful painting! It really conveys the joy you've experienced observing these golden moments.
ReplyDeleteLove, love it! Another beautiful page from your journal. Our goldfinches only feed in my yard in the winter. You are so lucky to have them year round.
ReplyDeleteWe have a flock here too, aren't they beautiful...and a beautiful page to remember them by!
ReplyDeleteHow very pretty. It's a lovely journal page and would make a beautiful book illustration.
