Let them eat cake!
The June challenge from "A Creative Dream" was "Let them eat cake". Since it is a birthday month for several of my friends and family members, of course, I thought of birthday cake.
It took me a while, but this mixed media "card" holds my best birthday wishes for June, June, Ann, and Emma. I hope they got cake!
It's an altered CD. It seemed like a good idea to make a hanging loop... And the back side is decorated also. I didn't post a photo so I can surprise the recipient :)
I missed this in my birthday month but love seeing it now as it is the only birthday cake I received. But what a great one and no calories! Thanks Joyce.
I am inspired by seeing the work of artists from all over the world via the internet. Many creative people are using blogs as a way to share their art and the experiences and feelings that have motivated them. I hope my blog will communicate the same and maybe inspire you to find that creative person that is lurking within you!
There's something special about a calico cat. I will never forget this wonderful friend.

This is great, I would love to get a card like that for my birthday!
ReplyDeleteIt is adorable! I love the colors and the beading is beautiful ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful card! Or is it an ornament? (It looks like it could be hung.) I think it's great, either way!
ReplyDeleteIt's an altered CD. It seemed like a good idea to make a hanging loop... And the back side is decorated also. I didn't post a photo so I can surprise the recipient :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a hanging card....nice work :-)
ReplyDeleteJust been smiling at your photos of the squirrel; what a cutie.
Lovely interpretation of the theme - a sweet treat!
ReplyDeleteI missed this in my birthday month but love seeing it now as it is the only birthday cake I received. But what a great one and no calories! Thanks Joyce.
